Initially known as the Jewish Welfare Board in the 19th century, most of its work was caring for newly arrived immigrants from Eastern Europe. In 2009 the administration moved to Stirchley and then in 2010 BJCC built the Aubrey and Betty Lynes Centre next door to Andrew Cohen House all our facilities were on one site. I am Saad Bhamla, a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University. I work with Manu Prakash. I am currently involved in the research of frugal science and development of instrumentation with applications in biophysics and global health. My background is in soft matter, particularly rheology, thin-film dynamics, and soft biological materials. My thesis advisor was Professor Gerry Fuller.
